Talon as neck knife...?????

I made a post a while back concerning the retention of the Talon sheaths. I was not happy with the tightness. Will offered to replace it and then because of my post, Will got a ton of requests for the same thing. I felt so bad that I never sent mine back.
Anyway, someone else offered the suggestion of drilling a new hole closer to the throat of the sheat and attaching the Tek-Lok through it making it tighter around the throat and also allowing for cross draw carry. I did this and it worked fine.
The other day, I was messing around with it and drilled another hole on the other side next to the throat. I removed the Tek-Lok and got some thicker faucet washers and put the two screws in the two holes in the throat area. Now the sheath is ultra tight and makes a great neck knife. This will be my prefererd carry as when I go outdoors I am carring 2 larger knives on my belt already and it is more convenient around the neck.
Just thought I'd post in case anyone else was interested in doing this.

Peace-

That is just what I did after receiving the new sheath from Camillus only I just did the one screw hole by the throat and it works fine now as a neck knife. With the Tek-Lock removed it lies very flat. I can also put the Tek-lock back on upside down and wear the knife attached to on side of my suspenders...very fast to get to and you don't even know its there.

i make my own kydex sheaths, so on my past talons that had loose sheaths, i just tightened them with a heat gun.i carry a mayo skeletonized talonite as a neck knife daily. it is about the same size as the talon.glad to see others carry a talonite blade as a neck knife. i'm glad i'm not the only one walking around with an 8 inch neck knife.
