I have several Camillus knives. Three of those Camillus knives are in talonite. One EDC and two Talons. Obviously, I am a fan of Camillus and Will and the whole gang. The Talons are a great blade shape and I've had both of mine for about a year.
Recently, I bought a Simonich Cetan in talonite. In comparing it to the Talons, I have to say that Camillus did an excellent job on the knife. Without meaning any disrespect at all to Simonich, I think I like the Talons every bit as much as his original. Both great knives. As to the sheaths...
I bought the Simonich here on the forums second hand. It came with two sheaths. The sheaths are slender and only as large as necessary to securely hold the knife. The knife slides in and out so smoothly it is hard to describe. The Camillus knife compares very well to the orginal. I don't know if Simonich made the sheaths I received or if someone else did, but they are far superior to the Camillus sheath.
I really like the knives and am tempted to have Eric or someone make some sheaths for them, but dag gummit... Why did Camillus make such a wonderful knife and stick it in such a crummy sheath as both mine have?
