Talonite grind

What is the best type of grind to use with Talonite?I use a convex grind on my O-1 knives,and think this would also be the best for talonite.Thanks,Dave.

It depends on the maker . A littel thicker edge is good like .02-.022 before sharpening.

I like a big hollow grind

This one is hollow ground Talonite, done on an 8" wheel. Small knife, smaller wheel radius.

The convex grind will work great on talonite, probably the best type of grind for the material.....I use a 10" wheel and leave the edge plenty thick.......making the whole blade thicker.......dont get the edge any thinner than .015" on the convex grind and around .025 on a concave grind...plus or minus a few thou>
