If you do a search you'll find lots of info but my experience is it's great stuff for small knives. It's very light,absolutely stainless,somewhat soft(probably similar to the softer stainless steels)that's why it's not so good for a big "chopper".the really cool thing about talonite is it keeps cutting even when it's dull!takes some getting used to...very easy to cut yourself with a talonite knife.It'll feel quite dull and still rip your thumb open.Also no point in getting talonite too sharp,it wont hold an ultra-fine edge very well,but will hold an edge that will shave for a very long time!(think energizer bunny)and when it finally does get dull it's probably the easiest material to sharpen.hope this helps.
