I think it's because Talonite is super-expensive- you don't see it much because of the cost. At $200 per pound, and difficult to work to boot, it has been pretty much priced out of the production knife market. If you're just looking for something that won't rust, H1 is the way to go.
does anyone really use their talonite knives? I see a lot of customs using talonite, but they all look like safe queens....I've handled a stellite knife and used it lightly...to be frank, it loses the shaving edge very quickly and is very slippery and polished. I prefer steel anytime.
i carried my mini maxx talonite some and i dont think the edge holding compares to even something as mundane as 154CM yet i have heard it makes good skinning knives, go figure.
i dont know that any talonite knives are offered anymore due to the cost, i havent seen any lately.
