I have tried to find information on this alloy and have had limited success

I did find a fe websites with stats, but not a single review of a knife with talonite.

I know that there must be atleast one person here who has used it and can give a good review of its properties

Do a search here "Talonite"...read everything by Bald1, Joe Talmadge, Walt Welch, Trace Rinaldi, Rob Simonich and a host of others.

DC, I tried to search manually but only found a few references. Every time I search I get a timeout error. It happened again this morning, but I will keep trying, thanks.

What you need to do is set to go back 1 year and you will find all the info, you could ever want on this subject. We have beat this subject to death in the past. The search option has never worked for me.

Funny that you mention Rob....The custom Cetan that I ordered from him is the reason I am asking about Talonite

While it is 11 months away I am just as excited as if it were coming next week.

Cobalt:

You were right, I found tons of stuff. While Talonite is still expensive I'm going to go for that as my blade material. I figure I have 11 months to save the payment, why not ?
