I just got an e-mail from Bentoboxshop. The sprint run is on it's way. I didn't expect this knife for a couple of months. It looks like it's going to ship out on the 16th. Looking forward to it.

They said it'll ship on the 16th?

I have paid but no shipping notice or news yet. I'm wondering if they ship in batches

I didn't realize that these were shipping 2 weeks ago. I did get on the preorder list a little later than some people. So powernoodle how do you like it?

It is most excellent. The G10 might be a little light for some people, but I really like it.
I haven't used it a whole lot yet, but I've been carrying it daily.
I'll try and shoot some pics when I get home.
I predict you will LOVE it. :D

I got a couple weeks ago, too. I agree, the G10 is not really tan. It's almost an off-white... or very light tan. I haven't carried mine, yet. But, like all my other Manix 2s, it's very nice! And, the M4 steel is reportedly wicked awesome. ;)

Loved just about everything!

Only 2 minor complaints about the Manny 2 in general.
In my opinion, of course, the g10 is way too rough on my jeans and the BBL is just far more of a hassle to actuate in comparison to an RIL or Liner Lock.
Both very minor complaints, but enough for me to not want to carry/use it.

Definitely a "hard use" knife and I just don't need a blade of that nature.

Love absolutely everything else, ergos, color, steel, blade shape.

Here's a stupid question about Manix 2's in general - is the BBL as easy to actuate as the Axis is on a Benchmade?

Its a tiny bit stiffer then an axis but after some use its smooth . I have never had a problem closing it one handed.

Axis is just a bar that slides into the tang and it stays in both sides of the liners with the help of Omega springs. Those springs are not terribly strong and I haven't found or owned a Manix that can be disengaged with one hand yet

Edit: No mail today either. Maybe they are going to be shipped Saturday the 16th. We'll see monday

Honestly, the BM Axis Lock is FAR easier to actuate than the BBL.

I can actuate a BM Axis Lock with one hand easily and does not require much resistance.
I don't know about actual facts, but the BBL feels/seems like it would be stronger partially due to the greater tension in the spring.

In the end I don't care for the Axis or BBL.
The BBL is very smooth.

well your just a Ti frame lock whore...

as am I :)

The Manix 2 is easy to unlock one-handed, using your finger and thumb on both sides. Unlocking it with just a finger or thumb on one side is a little more challenging.

Mine is scheduled to be delivered today, but as is the case 95% of the time, it gets stuck in Des Moines for an extra day, so they should be here Monday.

Annoying, but not Bentos fault, and I am just glad that they are coming in.
