Tang on the Spyderco Moran

Anyone know what kind of tang the Spyderco Moran has? Has anyone rehandled one in Micarta or another material? If you have pictures, please post them as I would love to know.

I might be wrong, but I believe the Moran uses the same notched stick tang and molded FRN construction that the Temperance used. The only way to get the old handle off without ruining the heat-treatment on the blade would be by grinding it away, which doesn't sound like much fun to me.

What's wrong with the FRN handle?
