Hi,

is the Buck BuckLite MAX Knife with Guthook full tang?
Is the cold steel double agent 1 & 2 full tang?

Just minor questions also if possible post your thoughts on these blades.
Do you think the cold steel double agent is a good edc neck knife if not any recomendations.

If you like cheap steel, a Buck would fit the bill.

Cold steel is pretty close to the same.

What is your concern over full tang knives? Have you seen any pictures of these knives? Have you read anything about them? Their construction should be no question if you've done those things.

An Izula makes a very good EDC for the $.

I don't think the Bucks are full tang. I also don't think I've ever heard of a Buck knife breaking.

Gut hook knives are meant for skinning and game prep, not chopping, so who cares if they are full tang or not.

Since there are no scales on the Double Agent, it is, by definition, full tang.

Some Bucks are full length tang, some aren't. I broke a Buck 639 Fieldmate right in the center of the blade. That's why I hate sawback blades now. I took the handle off (it was one of the Kraton models) and the tang wasn't full length, but it was close enough.

I don't worry about a full tang on a knife with a guthook. If you're going to abuse it, the guthook will break first.

My Bucklite Max (non-gut hook) is full tang, I just put magnet on it. Steel goes all the way past lanyard hole.

As others have said, all you have to do it look at pic of the Double Agents to see they are one piece of steel.
