i made this while i was waiting on my stainless heat treat order from peters. i wanted to try something different than a turks head knot or guard. my idea was to make the hand guard an integral part of the curly maple handle scales. thanks for taking a look. 9" 1084 blade with a satin finish, curly maple handle pinned in two places for stability, the cotton ito wrap is tacked down to the handle with epoxy, and the wrap was partially saturated with epoxy to be secure and not move, but still retains the softness of the cotton. the tang is tapered as can be seen in the third photo. leather sheath with nickel belt frog. have a good weekend !

Very cool knife, I really like the red dyed curly maple with the integral hand guard.

I love the Japanese themes you guys put out, such nice work. i want to learn how to wrap a handle properly!

Great grinds, like pic 3 and how the grinds almost sweep together
