Good Afternoon,
I was cleaning the shop today and found this one in a drawer. It was built about 1 1/2 years ago and I thought it could have been better at the time. I spent some time with it today and refined and improved it quite a bit. Figured I would put it up for a decent price and see if anyone wants to put it to work
This blade is made from 0.160" Magnacut full flat ground to 400 grit and finished on an ultra fine scotch brite belt. The handle is made from double black canvas micarta and brass.
The guard is forged from a piece of 100 year old wrought iron ship chain that has been sanded to 800 and blued. The guard is soldered in place. In a couple of the pics it looks like there are holes in the solder but it is just how the light caught it. The guard is tight all the way around and there are no gaps.
This is a full tang construction not a frame.
The sheath is kydex with holes spaced for a Tek-Lok. The sheath works really well locking around the guard the way it does, it is very secure.
