Tanto or Tonto?

Please tell me what your post, "Kinda like a payback for all those silly Asian "r's" and "l's" jokes... " has to do with the original thread. What makes you think that you can make an off topic post that you think is funny and others can't?? I didn't expect sh*t pal, let alone political correctness, which happens to be one of the banes of our society.
First off, that part of the post is on topic in that the inference to the inability of the Western speaker to properly pronounce Asian words and phrases is directly opposite to the so called "Asian" humor of substituting r's and l's whenever Asian are protrayed in humor. Secondly, it's still on topic because it was in response to the provided quote.

I have a great sense of humor, but I didn't find anything funny about what you had posted. If making fun of a character from the 50's TV series is your idea of humor, wait for a thread of that topic to show up. It ain't about political correctness, as it's more about you posting something that contributed nothing to the thread, or to the original question.

Could someone please tell me who put this guy in charge of this thread? When you become a forum moderator, you can tell me what I should or shouldn't post. Until then, take care of your own business. You think your 4000 plus posts gives you special compensation? Who the hell are you?

Don't need to be a moderator to identify bad forum etiquette bud. That's all. You're reading way too much into everything else...

OK, so I guess I was wrong. I sit corrected. Tanto is prononced Tonto.

That’s funny b/c it had me thinking. 90% of what I know about the knife world comes from this site and some 18 hour days reading non stop. I have learned an unbelievable amount over the last year or so. But I wonder how many knife models, companies, gadgets Etc. I actually miss pronounce in my head or when speaking to my wife??

Sometimes you get something in your head out of nowhere and it stick with ya. Like to this day, when I think of the Battle Mistress, Steel Heart, Etc.. The company’s name I say in my head is "Brussels" I know its Busse, but for some reason, after a year of reading about them, I always said "Brussels" in my head. I have NO clue how to properly pronounce Busse. :D

My favorite knife is Sissi Puukko M95 . I think it just suite me better. And Sissi means ranger in Finnish. I can imagine what it may be in a cuontry where all the citizens are kind of forestmen buy the way of life.
Thanks, Vassili.

In case anybody is interested, "tanto" also has a meaning in Spanish, something like "that much" or "as much".
