In looking at my new Griptilian Tanto, it occurs to me that it's feasible to grind the spine tip into a sharp edge. I'm not suggesting it's necessary but rather functionally possible, at least on the first quarter inch or so. It would somewhat defeat the strength advantage of a tanto, at least for grunt work.
