I put a tanto tip on a Vic. Executive once. A customer bought a new one to replace his beat up one and was just going to throw the old one away!!! I instead decided I'd have some silly fun, and not only made the blade a tanto, I also ground Veff-styll serrations on it.
That being said, you are unlikely to find a production slipjoint tanto since the lack of a lock negates much of the edvantage of the tanto design--tip strength during target penetration. If you tried stabbing with a slippy it's just going to fold up on your fingers!
