tap sizes...... again

I need the drill bit sizes for a 3-56 and 4-40 taps (they need to make a chart for this stuff). I need the drill sizes for the taps and the clearance sizes for the threads and the heads.

If any knows where there is a chart for this sort of thing, it sure would be handy. Thanks in advance for your help.
 
I don't have a chart handy, but you can get one at just about any hardware store that sells taps & drills. Most drill index's come with a chart, or you can even contact an industrial supply house for one.

So if you know of anywhere that sells Starrett tools, ask for one of their drill size posters. Most will have them and give em away... at least a pocket card sized one.

if you're in the USA, sign up to the starrett website, they will send you posters and toolbox cards
