This is a tapered handle full tang Nessmuk style skinning and utility knife. The tapered handle with the slight drop at the rear give plenty of control and a very comfortable grip.
OAL 7.75 inches, blade is 3.25 inches. Broadest point on the blade is 1.357 (one and three eighths). Thickness is .095 (3/32), 15N20 steel, oil quenched and differentially tempered.
The blade has a hand rubbed finish, taken down to 800 grit and then hand buffed with scotchbrite. Handle scales are a burl maple with some tiger effect and brass pins.
The knife has a taper convex grind, which gives a very sharp and durable edge. This steel in a convex geometry gets very sharp and holds up well. Easily maintained with a strop or a ceramic stick in the field.
Sheath is a waterformed slip case pouch. There is no belt loop, but the sheath has four holes for rigging carry as a necker, on a shoulder bag or baldric strap, or even on a belt (I'm fond of a paracord X rig for this type of carry.) Sheath made by Koyote Girl- which means it is water formed, full hand stitched using the double needle method, and just about bombproof.
Asking $135 including USPS insured priority shipping in the US. Paypal, Money order, checks are all good.
thanks-
