Tapered pins

I bought some tapered pins to use for the pivot on some lock back folders. The pins are 1 1/4" long and .125 at the narrow end and .150 at the thick end. I am figuring I would need to drill a .125 hole and then ream it with a tapered reamer but I can't figure out what size of reamer I need. Can anyone tell me? or is there a special drill bit I should use?
Thanks
Steve

I personally wouldn't use tapered roll pins, but since you asked here are some tapered-pin reamer sizes to select from.

I don't think that a tapered pin would work well for a folder pivot. If things are not perfect the blade is not going to rotate parallel to the scales and it will always be off center.

I had the privilege of taking apart one of Wolfe Lorchners folders before final construction and the tapered pins were what he uses. I want to try it, see if it works for me or if you have to be Wolfe to make it work. His action is so smooth that there must be something to it besides just incredible skill and patience.

Both he and his daughter are some of the best in the world !!!! Steve, the blade must be reamed on the same angle as well ? Frank
