Thank you. The challenge is largely removed by a surface grinding attachment. It was quite easy and quick to do. Since my sine plate is 10" long and the taper 5", I did not even have to pull out a calculator. I know there are some folks who do this by hand, that is a real challenge.If it were just about balance, there are easier and faster ways to achieve that. But a tapered tang is aesthetically appealing, adding another visual effect that I find both attractive and challenging. Personally, I stop at blades .120 thick but appreciate the effort you put in that blade. I like it.
