Taping The Blade To Practice Moves

What type of tape do people recommend to use in order to protect fingers from the bali blade when practicing moves?

Hiya...welcome to the Bali-Forum :) Any good electricians tape will work fine.., and you can get the residue off your live blade with WD-40...some guys use other tapes, and I'm sure they'll chime in...good luck!!

Electrical tape works wonders although I've only used tape once. For the most part I believe pain drives us to improvement as evidence my my two (good

week) bandaides that I'm wearing right now.
 
Yeah I caught my first good one in a while sparring last week, hope your heals up fast! Mine is YUCKY!

I use cloth medical tape. I only use it to practice lefty aerials and such, as I have a tendancy to get sloppy when there isn't live steel to keep me awake.
 
I just use clear scotch tape (2 layers on the edge, and about 6 at the tip). It doesn't leave any residue at all, and seems to actually clean the blade. It also doesn't show up as much, so be careful.

Also, on the subject of not getting cut; pay attention to the blade, and if you notice that you got "cut," then hit yourself or something; that'll train you not to be sloppy. :p Or, you can punish yourself stopping flipping for 30 seconds.
 
Examonlyf, yeah there fairly minor cuts. Got while breaking in some new FHMs. and about the "smilie" check out www.mysmilies.com and look under evil. The ones under violence are really funny though

well, that's why i usually don't tape my blade - that way i'll know for sure when i did something wrong. ;) (no worries, my current flipper isn't all that sharp. (my good ol' jag was a lot sharper.) but it's sharp enough to keep me awake during manipulation. ;))

lol, now THAT's what i call punishment! i'm glad the legal punishment is just money fines and jail - not x amount of time with non-flipping! ;) :p :D
