Tapped but not drilled for left hand carry SG Spider Monkey

I have a Southern Grind Spider Monkey I've come to be pretty fond of. I usually carry a bigger folder in my FRP, and a smaller one (like the spider monkey) in my FLP. My spider monkey doesn't have a reversible pocket clip, but looking closer it appears the liners are tapped for it, but the scales are not drilled. It appears to have 3 holes drilled and tapped one of which being occupied by the standoff screw.
Is this normal or has this knife been modified by a previous owner?
Anyone else have one to compare?

I believe that is normal from their factory and that if you want a knife to be left hand carry all you have to do is ask them and they will drill it. I could be wrong. Give em a call and ask.

That is standard for Zac Brown lost a bunch of sales because of it when i was working in Knife Dept. over Christmas.

Thanks guys,
I wonder why they don't just drill the other 2 holes...

Truthfully because people looking for left hand carry knives are a very small small part of the knife world and I think they want to keep it clean looking. Southern Grind will set up your knife for left hand carry for free. If you have any problem contacting them just shoot me a PM! I know sometimes they can be tough to reach.

I'm sure the liners (locking and presentation side) start as the same part. So they all get tapped. At some point in the process, half of them get cut and bent for locks and the other half are left alone.

I know that Southern Grind will drill and tap to allow for left handed carry, but will they also make a Spider Monkey that operates left handed? Like a lefty Sebenza?
