As a Canadian collector of American made blades I have been shopping in the US for many years. Why not? Most of the cool stuff comes from there.

The process is relatively simple and you pay for shipping and whatever the local tax rate is plus duty with handling fees. HST, or Harmonized Sales Tax, is 15% where I live.

Imagine my horror when a recent purchase came with a 46% total penalty due to the new 25% tariff. HST was charged on top of the new total. I had to send it back for a refund as I can't afford it. I've also had to cancel my Choppacobra order.

My blade collecting has come to a screeching halt as a result. INFI withdrawal is already setting in. I hope that this doesn't last long.

I'll trade you for some Norinco M1911 pistols that Canada can still import brand new but are banned in the USA.
Unfortunately our Marxist Ken Doll has decreed that nobody can import, purchase or pass on any pistols. When you pass away, they seize and destroy with no compensation to your estate. As for the huge list of now Prohibited firearms they are all going to the Ukraine.

That’s a great pic Boss1911 Boss1911

This WWII one always stuck in my mind… as to why you wouldn’t want to ever hand over your guns.

As we see… history repeats…

Reminds me of driving to Mexico to get the good fireworks (M-80’s) I couldn’t get in Calif. When there’s a will, there’s a way.

I foresee Busse cross-border smuggling runs being planned.

When I was a kid sacks of M-80s could be found on the rez! Tennis balls, ping pong balls, M-1000's. M-80 roman candles may have been my favorite though. Friggin 9/11 ended all that fun stuff for us.

I’m from Alberta 🇨🇦so no HST here but the forefather just got through customs (shipped april 4th , 1 week setting in customs 🤔).. $42 cdn for fees is what I got ..should be here next week

Not looking forward to the tariff / taxes that the TGS/ Chef6.5 will have tho coming up for me ..
🥃💨💨🥴

A Canadian HOG and I used to have an arrangement. Just sayin'. Find a trustworthy INFI mule.
A little extra shipping, but not as bad as the alternative.

I’ve done something similar and the taxes / fees were lower by about half

Exactly. I will say this. Trumps fair tax offer to all countries, could be better for those countries if they don't let their foolish pride get in the way like China and Canada are. Argentina and Vietnam and several more countries have already agreed to zero tariffs. No tax. This benefits them more than the US, because as the largest consumer in the world, the US outbuys every trade country. I can tell you no one is buying much from the US in Vietnam or Argentina. But the US gets a lot from them, beef, wine, coffee, clothing, etc. China would be winning on a zero trade tariff deal. But their ignorant pride is getting in the way. lol.
