Sharp & Fiery Friends,

It fills my heart with sadness to announce that because of the tariffs the USA has put on Canadian products, I have put ALL USA bound sheath orders on HOLD. If you would like to cancel an order with me, I am totally ok with that and will understand.

At this point I have no idea what percentages or amounts the tariffs will be. I do know, however, that I will not be collecting tariffs on behalf of the USA government. They can collect them themselves, just like every other country on the planet.
I refuse to have to charge my customers/friends more money just to collect tariffs on behalf of the USA government.

So for the time being…I will only be working on non-usa orders.

I apologize to all of my customers and my friends, who I love and appreciate dearly.

With a heavy heart,

Coleman

Well, between the US Tariffs and Canada Post now on strike, effectively shutting down their operations, and private shipping companies charging a small fortune to ship, I have to shut down the Sharp & Fiery Leatherworks for the time being. 😕

This sucks.

Good morning, friends.

Unfortunately, I have spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to figure out this tariff situation. Even with CUSMA exemptions, there are still tariffs to pay.

There is no clear instructions on how to ship, what to do, how to get the forms other than downloading all these different apps which don’t let me continue because I don’t have a HTTP website.

Sharp and Fiery Leathercraft was started as a hobby, an enjoyable hobby and I very much enjoy making goods for others to enjoy, however, this tariff situation is making it less enjoyable, unfortunately.

That said, I will continue to refrain from shipping to the USA for the time being.

I apologize to all my customers and wonderful friends.

Sincerely,
Coleman

Ok…good news for shipping, bad news for tariffs. Unfortunately, the tariffs are out of my control. :/

I have two packages on a test run to the USA as we speak and if all goes well. I will be updating the ordering/purchasing information for USA customers.

Let’s hope Canada and the USA shake hands and make this nonsense go away…I’ll be thrilled. Haha.

Have a great week, folks!

Just a quick update:

I have noticed that parcels mailed from the S&F shop (Canada) usually take 7-10 days to be processed in USA Customs. This is a much longer time than pre-tariffs, but don’t be worried, they do move forward.

I’m sure USA Customs has a lot more work to do now and the backlog must be crazy.
