Tarp set-ups w/ the Emergency Heat Blanket

I saw some similar looking clips for the first time the other day but they weren't the same. That's good news 'cos now there are at least two different types perhaps they'll be more types to come. I though they looked very handy especially for doing the middle bits and doing skeeter netting at the ends.

baltaco, take a look around the internet, you will find probably 10 variations of tarp clips. i first noticed them around 5 years ago i think, but they may have been around for longer than that...

well my intentions were to post two more set ups, but I got off later than usual from work and it was already dark. So I'm shooting for tomorrow evening

I got a chance to get out and set up a few more tarp variations. The first one, I used the clips to reenforce to the ridgeline. This setup would've worked alot better, if the trees were just a tab bit further apart.

Then I set it up, using the corners, pretty low to the ground, I felt like it would offer adequate protection for a survival scenario.

and a view of the inside, with the obligatory knife shot.

gray, looks like a pretty good setup, i like the idea of using the clips to pull the ridge up higher.

i am going to try to get out and setup a tarp or two soon and take photos to add to the thread...

I did the stand alone silponcho thing with hiking poles.

Robert how do you like that tarp. Is it big enough for an A frame style set up.

I bought some tarp clips that looked similiar. I believe they were a knockoff of some "Gator" clips of some sort. The ones I got stank on a regular tarp. Because the tarp was so slick, they could not bite down hard enough. Glad those ones are working out. I guess my point is that they are not necessarily all as good, though I could be all washed up.:D

That would be a bit tight. It's great as a poncho and small tarp. I now carry both the poncho and the 8X10. It's light enough to easily carry.
