Hi everyone,
For sale I have one of my older projects. I'm not much of a flipper fan, and decided to remove the flipper from a few of these guys. Sold the other two, and this is the last one. The work was done very slowly, and very accurately. The metal was kept very cool during the process. Yes, this does void the warranty, as does everything else I did:
- The standoffs were stripped of their black coating, and then I anodized them bronze.
- Did the same treatment to ALL screws, and added two spares in the tip-down holes, also anodized.
- Bronzed the clip, lockbar stop, pivot bolt/screw, all bronze.
- Ano'd the liner bronze.
- Ano'd the lockside scale in bronze and a little purple. Threw on a matching Hinderer bead.
- Added a custom CF scale (sold the lightning strike scale a long time ago).
The edge has been stropped and is scary. 110v makes a super fine, toothy edge. Lotta bight. Very cool stuff. Otherwise the knife is unused. Comes with original box. Flips open like a dream. Great detent. Lockup is solid as heck. Centered when closed. There's a little unevenness to the anodizing around the pivot bolt. Maybe some grease was still on there when I started. Still looks pretty cool and artful.
