Taylor's Eye Witness Works

The fountain behind the converter is programmed by music. It's quite impressive, especially at night with lights. My son's school is in the shadow of the PPG building (the all glass skyscraper with the spires on top to the left of the photo).

The interesting thing is that Pittsburgh doesn't seem to have a knife industry, unlike Sheffield. All the knives in Pennsylvania were/are made a few hours north. Now if I could just convince my wife to take the long way home after visiting with my son :D

Interesting. I've just replaced the ganister on the back stairwell in my house, but I've never thought to make one of clay. ;)

LOL! :D

Here's a mill for crushing the rock from Sheffield's Kelham Island Industrial Museum.

I was looking at some Taylor's kitchen knives yesterday in a cookery shop. The packaging screamed 'Sheffield', Sheffield this, Sheffield that, their long tradition, blah, blah. You were clearly being sold a Sheffield knife. Then down at the bottom of the packaging at the rear, in small letters, 'Made in China'. The barest legal compliance, but totally misleading packaging. Absolutely sickening :(
