TB help!

You're right...not a show stopper at all. I think a swedge looks cool, and helps penetration for stabbing, but I wouldn't want one on a knife I plan to use for batonning, for the above reasons. Let's drink

Penetration is my first concern, thats the reason I got the swedge and for other self defense use is why I got the Skull Crusher, Yes for E&E situation you may need to baton wood for survival but that is not the reason I got the TB, Busse did good by having the multiple options for this one, An outdoors person can have his TB one way and Old Soldier can have his another way. The great thing is we all have a nice knife no matter what version we got.

That's the greatest batoning pic I've ever seen. Pure awesomeness!

And I agree, a swedge on a knife used to baton is annoying. It's not a show stopper, but it gets on my nerves. Even knives with very little swedge, but a really pointy tip, can get jammed and caught on a baton. The M9LE comes to mind.

some thoughts after getting both in.
1. for penetration I think the swedge is very useful
2. if you want a great sheath without having to go custom without having to take out the liner and do the oven thing. a swedged blade with fit a spec ops 6" sheath perfect
3. the lines look very nice with the swedge.
4. unless your going to do some batoning on the end of the blade and want super thickness, go with the swedge.
5. my next order will have all swedges.
just some thoughts after playing with these for a few days.
