I'm a Cubmaster with the BSA, and last fall was family camp chairman. FYI, I was the guy who put the event together, chose the theme and activities, and then ran it. I called it Cubs vs. Wild, I know but kids love Bear Grills. He's not bad in my opinion, he was special forces. I taught the very basics of survival to them. Shelter (debris), Water (how to find and 3part filter and boil), Fire (gather right material and spark w/ steel), and Food (very basic and how to cook on coals not flames). I lead an actively outdoor scouting program and realized that these kids need to know this stuff. Taught about 120 kids successfully, I had a Q&A contest later with prizes like hot sparks. Sorry no pics.
Maybe I'll post some stuff of just me and my boy another time.
