Same custom order as my other recent post. I've been using teak oil on handles because it is easier to clean up than superglue and leaves a nice, hard finish when it soaks in. What kind of stain resistance does it have? The customer will use it almost daily for skinning and caping large game, and it'll be bloody and gooey most of the time. Will a teak oil finish stain or should I coat with CA just to be sure?

Better if it werestabilized but teak oilshould be ok if let dry real well. Not a big fan of CA finishes. On mesquite put on about 6 coats of teak and then let it dry for a week before buffing.

Is this a hidden tang knife or full tang, and if full tang what size scales you using.May be ableto help you out with some stabilzed mesquite if I have the right size.

It will be full tang. Scales only need be about 4.5x1.5x3/8. I'm not a huge fan of CA either but it does make a nice, impermeable finish.

Gota set 4-1/4" long 2"wide and 3/8"thick stabilized by wssi,If these will work send me an e-mail with your address and I send them your way. I've got some longer but they are only 5/16" thick as thats what I use most.
