I was gonna wait untill I recieve it, and do a proper review, but I am excited, and a little bored. Plus with all the necker talk lately.............

You cant tell by the pic, but the handle is beveled around the edges, and the blade spine is left sharp too aid in ferro rod striking.

What is the length overall and how wide? It doesn't look too thick.

Looks like a nice necker.

Ok heres the skinny.....

3in blade, 1.25in wide, 3.5in handle, 3/16 O1. I decided on it being thicker b/c it is scaless, and those f you have used Rays knives, you know 3/16 feels like 1/8 with his high flat grinds and razor convex edge.

This is my idea of my perfect necker/ small fixed blade for me. I gave Ray a decription of diamensions, blade shape, etc, and this is what we came up with.
 
There is more to the story of why I decided on scaless, and why I chose the blade shape, and etc... That will wait untill I get it and can get it and do a writeup on it....;)
 
that thing is awesome J..:eek: i bet you're stoked man.. ray makes some amazing knives...

Next week will be an awesome week. This one, and my Izula kit, and my Rat firesteel capsule... Pretty stoked.:thumbup:
 
It reminds me of a buck kaala handle attached to a Landi PSK blade. I like it - wider and thicker then the buck. I've sort of gone towards liking scaled mini-fixed ones, but we all have our reasons! That does look very nice.
 
Ray hangs out here from time to time. Email him through his profile. I dont know what his current wait is, but he is a very good guy to deal with, like so many other makers that frequent the WSS.:thumbup:
