I still have quite a bit of work to do on this one, but it's finally coming along enough where I'm willing to let "people" see it.

The customer wanted an "asymetrical boot dagger" and asked that he be able to place his thumb on the back, and be able to push down directly with the other cutting edge opposite his thumb. I drew up a few concept sketches, and he fell in love with this design. I still think the handle's a little long for this blade length, but it's not bad overall.

Still needs a lot of finish work. Have it temporarily glued up to hold it all together while I finalize fit and so forth. The blade will be mirror polished and then slow rust blued. The bolsters are nickel silver, and will be polished to contrast with the dark blade. The scales are macassar ebony. The're actually quite a bit darker than they look in this photo, but the overabundance of lighting and flash really glow out of the wood.
