Techno is all wrong

i really liked my first techno...then i sold it. Never thought about it again....then i got another in trade and i love it and can't for the life of me figure out why i got rid of it.

I made a new backspacer for mine and this one's staying!

red! Omg! Want!!

I sold mine awhile back but I've frequently thought of replacing it. I think it would look better with a swedge kind of like what the Gayle Bradley 1 looks like compared compared to the Stretch. But maybe I'm weird because I really like the Chubby.

Great thread. While I still do not have a Techno, it was on my want list for a long while.

Only after I got the GB1 did I realize I probably wasn't going to get one. This isnt saying I think my GB is better than the Techno; it's more an indicator that I've run out of money. [emoji6]

Oh man, I forgot how much I appreciate knives with PBW. I've kind of been buying bearing pivot knives lately and have been edc'n the stuffing out of the mantra2 and a Robertson El Fuego. I don't know what it is but the tactile feel when opening a knife on washers is so much better. Bearings are great but there's just something about washers that feels better. I love my GB1 and CRK for the same reason. The Techno is pretty smooth OTB. This little knife has me surprised with it cutting abilities. I thought the blade thickness would hold it back but the geometry is spot on for a short blade.

The Techno is probably the first knife I've bought with no specific purpose in mind. It wasn't for EDC, work, outdoors, self defense or even collecting. I have all I need and I don't collect anymore although I am getting a few backups of my favorites (see user name):D
I've always wanted a Ti frame lock, without bearings, though I'm not totally sold on the design. I knew the fit and finish would be outstanding just from the reviews I read on BF and other internet sources.(it's better than my GB1!) I thought the backspacer was kind of cool and different from anything that I had and the overall design of the knife just spoke to me.
Was it just for man jewelry? Maybe. Whatever the reason, it hasn't left my pocket since I received it.

Nothing wrong with a two handed folder brother. Sometimes I think we get too caught up on one-handed opening.

I had a really tough time making my mind up on this one. Been reading about for about a year, along with the Bowie. I'm gonna check out the Bowie at Blade Show this year. Never held the Techno until I got it, it has pretty good ergos for it's size.

The Bowie looks really sweet. I'll have to hold one before buying because of the handle shape and my big paws. I knew the Techno would only be a three finger grip which I have no problem with. Feels great in hand, very solid.

Yea, ain't no way you're getting a 4 finger grip. Today was a yard work day for me too. Good excuse to do some totally unnecessary knife pruning.
