Seems to have worked by putting (img) before the URL and (/img) after (instead of ( ) use [ ]).

In looking at the properties of the image you tried to post Daniel, it links to the html file. You need the url to go to the jpg image specifically if you want it to show.

Don't know if that was your specific problem but it could be it.

Sweeeeet! I love the pattern. How do you do it? Do you make some controlled deformations in the steel at each heat-cycle, like in pattern-welding but without the welding ?

This is the only jian I have up on my website right now. I still haven't finished a wootz jian, but I do have the blade for it forged out.

After numerous tries I got a photo posted, but it's not clickable. One step at a time.

For that particular techno-wootz pattern, after the bar is close to my desired shape and size (about 50% oversized), I cut in the designs (CNC) and forge it to final shape. To get the clear patterns I run multiple forging sequences including polishing hammer. I try to leave less than .020" for grinding/polishing.
