Ok fellas, I need just a little tiny bit of smoke if you can spare it as I have a few bumps and stumps to cross in the next few weeks.
First of all, my wonderful wife was rear-ended this morning and our '02 Civic is a total job i'm sure. Don't worry. She is OK. She was just slammed really hard from behind. Hard enough to knock her glasses and shoes off and hard enough to push her into the back end of a backhoe trailer. She's stiff and sore, and will feel like hell tomorrow. She's called the Dr. and he is aware of it in case it gets worse. We also have insurance as did the other drivers involved. However, a little extra smoke would be appreciated if you can spare it. We're OK, but i just want to be sure;) Mainly, some thoughts and smoke to make the transition from wreck, to rental, to new car would be very appreciated. Also, a little smoke to make sure she gets over this mild whiplash quickly would be great.
Also, to help the situation she has applied to the school system in the county in which we live. A little well wishing that she lands the job would really be appreciated. I don't like this 60-100 miles a day she drives now. She's very, very qualified, but they have to wait for people to leave, offer jobs to other interns, blah blah blah. We just need an opening. she's done more psychology work in grad school than most do in their first 10 years as certified school psychologist:eek:
Anyway, just a little smoke or a thought would be so very appreciated by me.

Thanks in advance, guys.

Jake

Buddy My thoughts and smoke will be with you and especially your wife . Thats a heck of a shock to the system . I too had a rear ender that was bad enough . Cops and Doctors said it proabably was alright and It ended up as several hernias . Even a stiff neck should be looked at .

Smoke from Boise!
Make sure she takes care of any aches and neck and back pains. Tell her good luck with the Job.

You got it Jake!

I'm assuming she had her spine completely checked out? That's a serious amount of force you just described...

I hope all works out well Jake.

Watch out for damage revealing itself in your wife in the next few days. Whiplash or soft tissue injuries won't show neccesarily the day of the accident.

take care and here's my prayer.

Munk's unaware of this, but he's channelling a friend of mine who's a personal injury lawyer. Soft tissue injuries sometimes only show up a bit later - keep a good watch.

prayers up.

Thanks for the advice, guys. We are going to play it by ear and keep an eye on it. Her old family doctor works just down the street from her office and has been notified. We made sure to call him right away to at least cover our basis. She is going to take it easy at work today and head home early. If she's markedly sore tomorrow, then we will set up an appoint with the Dr. to check her out. Thank God it was a Civic. Honestly, had it been me in my truck i probably would have been in the hospital.
As you might have seen on the news we got A LOT of water. You HAVE to drive through some in some places. The guy just got his brakes all wet and couldn't stop. Screech and crash.
Thanks again guys. it really helps.

Jake

Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery. Don't let her take the least ache for granted!

Don't be rushed into a new car, either, pick one carefully.

Done. Getting rear-ended is no treat, even if it's not a hard hit. Keep a close eye on her and don't hesitate to get things checked out!
