Tek Lok questions for Izula carry

I may have jumped the gun here, but I was ordering a tek lok for my JK Handmade Hiker that John (Stomper) is going to use to make a kydex for me, and I ordered an extra for an Izula I have coming in tomorrow.
This will be my first Izula and I'm wondering if i screwed up by getting a large tek lok? Should I reverse that one and get something smaller?
Also, I ordered in a "sharp shim" with it, which looked pretty cool. Instead of the regular plastic shim, you can swap out for the sharp shim, a sharpening stone within your tek lok... I thought that was pretty cool and wondered if anyone else had tried it yet.

I put a large Tek-Lok on my Izula sheath and it works great. It's a bit bulky, but it doesn't bother me.
 
Thanks, Joe. I just found a new thread where someone said the smaller tek lok did not work for him on the Izula, so looks like I had a bit of dumb luck there, cause I would have assumed the smaller would have been better...had I not been all tweeked out about buying them fast.
Pretty new here, should have looked around a little more...
 
Just checked out the site. That sharp shim is awesome. Might have to pick up a couple of those. :)
 
Tek loc works great for vertical carry, but doesn't work well for horizontal carry. It's just too bulky and sticks up too hight from the belt. Besides, I carry my Izulas and Rc3 horizontally and love it.
 
What are you using to carry your Izula horizontally? Molle?

Hmmmm... The Molle does look like it works fine. I was worried that one wasn't enough. Plus i didn't really want all the extra survival stuff...I have it all already. Well I guess I should've asked someone on here first about the molle clip.
With the teklok I did order the Sharp Shim, though, so I get the addition of a sharpening stone with the clip, which will be nice when camping. Too bad blade tech doesn't seem to know how to send an updated tracking number... I'd love to know how long til it shows up.

My girl wants pink one now... I'll order the extra stuff and give it to her... and she can try out the molle clip.
