Tell me a little about Purna Kami....

I've got one of those Purna Dui Chirras too. Beautiful, well balanced knife. I can't comment on using it since I haven't been able to bring myself to scuff it up. Plus my KLVUK does every task I throw at it more than adequately. Now that I think about it, I own 5 HI khuks and the only one I've used more than once is the KLVUK.

Pretty much same with me. I do have an AK that begs to get out and chop something and I'll let it have its way one of these days.

My little IBBB of course gets out daily. Gosh durn I love that knife.

I shared this with some but last night I got busted going into the rodeo, usually never check me in the 4 times I been but last night they wanted to check my bag. Found a leatherman tool, OMG!!!! They were concerned, I had to explain that every guy I see going thru is wearing a clip folder in his pocket. Hmmmmm, I finally had to produce my office puke cop badge and they were ok.

I didn't want to prolong the conversation so I didn't mention the bawanna bowie or the 1911 on my hips or the Kahr 45 on my ankle. Didn't want to risk their secret service potential candidacy ya know.

There is a photo/image of Purna with a cutting device, and his wife hammering. It was recently posted, and I can't find it. I'm sitting in a coffee shop trying to find this photo, so I can show it to a couple of friends. If anyone can post a link, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

Thanks, I looked all over (meaning passed it every time) The obvious bit me.

Thanks Ndog! I checked out the video and it was very cool. :) What a gorgeous piece of work/art.

It certainly is not compressed/distorted as still photos of both knives appeared....that is the problem with wide angle (often cell phone) lenses....they are funhouse mirrors up close....they work much better further away but then user must zoom and lose pixel count.....how i miss film....but seeing video of the picnic/party/award ceremony and seeing Kami Sherpa/Pala holding them aloft showed what they really looked like.....and new hire Purna Kami totally ill at ease in such a social....it reminded me of me at such shindigs....
