I was given a buck 124 hunting knife yesterday. Wa larger than my 119 and the sheath resembles a pistol holster. It has a fold down flam to keep the knife in teh sheath.

It's called a "Frontiersman" model, came out in the mid 1970's, but I am not sure how long they were made. According to "The History of Buck Knives" by Tom Ables, it was intended as a hard use hunting knife.
