Tell me this doesn't creep you out!!

If anyone wants to find your address they can look in the phone book. What's the big deal? Who cares if you know where my coffee shop is?

WRONG!

After having some problems, I moved and when I told the phone company I did not want my address listed, they said they could give me an unlisted number. Problem was, I didn't care about having the phone listed. I did NOT want the physical address listed. They said they could not do that (their system required an address). I told them I did not want phone service if they were going to publish my address and let that disturbed person follow me to the new place. Turns out, they can't use a bogus address but periods (nothing but periods ;)) worked.

You can turn off the GPS feature in most phones and cameras. Does my best friend really need to know the GPS location of my pool in the backyard, my favorite Starbucks, library, store, etc.? Do I really want to advertise my vacations so thieves know when I'm not at home?

There is a entire preference pane devoted to location services (GPS) for different apps, as well as a general on/off setting. The only service I have set to on is maps, any camera app has it disabled, as well as any other app that doesn't use maps.
