Is Busse the best knife on the market? Why?

If not what do they do well and who does it better. :)

Are they perfect or could they be improved in some way?

Plus the quality,
and the designs. They're not all my style but many are and Jerry just knows what he's doing when designing a knife.

First of all, Welcome to the Busse forum:thumbup:

There is really no "Best" knife on the market. It all comes down to what you like and want in a knife.

I do think Busse makes the best hard use knife, Period. INFI and the Busse designs are hard to beat if your looking for a knife you plan to use hard. IMO no one makes better medium to large knives than Busse.

On my small fixed Blades I tend to go with a custom maker, but still like a few of the smaller Busse's a great deal. I like my small knives thin, and can get a custom maker to make it just as I want it.

The INFI steel will hold an edge, rarely chips(usually just rolls/dents), and is also very easy to sharpen. This is something you don't see in any other near stainless steel blade.

Busse has the Best warranty bar none IMO.

If you plan to use a knife hard, or just want a great knife that will last you forever (even if you can break it they will fix/replace with no questions asked), I would suggest you try a Busse.

Thanks for posting, and please come back with pics if you get one:thumbup:

Noooo!:D

Best? That's a very bold statement to say about anything. I will say without hesitation that Busse is excellent. If anyone finds the "best" knife please let me know.

Jeff, you and I are friends, so please don't take this the wrong way.
But I feel that was not a proper thing to say to a new visitor to the room.
IMO, he does not need to "move along" and should be welcomed here just as anyone else. Just my 2 cents Jeff, please don't be mad at me for this post.

He was just messin(see the wink), Jeff aint got it out for anyone besides the bad guys

Well said Greg S. I love my Busse steel and I would say their knives are among half a dozen manufacturers who in my mind possess 3 things:

1. The best customer service, support, warranty
2. Product quality
3. Run by people who you would like to know, deal with, and give your hard earned money.

It does make it easier spending the money if you know you have nothing to worry about. That is why this particular group of makers will always be busy and people will trip over each other to buy their products.

First of all, Welcome and thanks for asking.
My opinion is not sponsored by Busse, but I am a fanboy of the product and slap down haters at whim.;) That being said, I like the warranty and most of the designs. I don't believe the knives will do anything that most other comparable blades would with the way I use them, but I feel much better about beating them because I've seen the tests and have the warranty to back it up if needed. I am not a fan of all Busse models, but those I do like are irreplaceable to me. Most are easily sharpened and modified to my taste. The only real complaint I would have is the sales model and no sheath being included. I am not alone in those feelings, but far outweighed by those who like it or at least participate (as I do). INFI has been proven superior on several fronts, but I have yet to test them to a point that would show it's superiority. I've just found what I want in knives and will continue to use, buy, trade and barter their blades for the forseeable future.

I guess you and me saw that wink in a differant way. I've never used it that i know of.

If Jeff thinks hes a doper, I guess he is a bad guy to him:confused:

I would add to my post above that Customer Service from Busse is something I have found nothing remotely close to as good or comparable. My experience anyhow.
