Tell me your opinion on these spacers

anyone please...are the good, are they bad...what? it's not that hard to give an opinion or perhaps a recommendation right?
or at least point me towards the thread that discusses such liners..geez

No idea on the spacers, sorry. I suggest posting questions like these in Shoptalk would get you more answers.

I don't know much about the spacers. I know the vulcanized paper spacers tend to move. Those look like they may be better.

I have used the vulcanized spacers and yes they can move a bit, at least they move differently than the wood. The other spacers should work just fine so long as you have a mechanical hold better than just pins. Domed pins or corby bolts etc, will hold things together.

Interesting, made of 'high impact plastic'.... being plastic my first concern would be how they would respond to epoxy. If they respond well, this might just be the bright red liner material we've been looking for.

Texas Knifemaker's Supply offers a similar product in various colors including red. The sheet sizes are 6" x 12" x 0.024". Their product is described as "engraving stock".

They also offer "Three Layer Multicolor Spacers" with three different color patterns, made from the same material. I've used this before, and the color, workability, and performance is good.

Thank you for answers and opinions...how they respond to epoxy? They do not disolve or get ''eaten'' by epoxy. But as I've heard it's best to glue them to the tang and scales with CA glue(super glue). I'll try with pattex repair extreme (I think it's an awesome glue with great characteristics(great sealing, good bonding, shock resistant, etc.)) for gluing it to the scales as they are absorbant and I'll use loctite 480 toughened super glue for gluing it to the tang because loctite 480 works best on bonding two non-porous substances(plastic-metal).
Best, Vito

The "plastic" works great with epoxy.

Cyanoacrylate works good too; I use this to attach them to the end of my scales before I drill and pin the spacers in place.
