Father's Day $ale Price Reduction $475 ; plus free shipping to the continental U.S.
Note: Sale good through June 17th so I can still ship it in time to make it to Dad for Father's Day.
I don't think you'll find a similar piece in full ivory for less but if you do - jump on it!
"Tembo" - Hunter in Elephant Ivory & 440C
I just finished putting an edge on this one this morning. The ivory used on this knife has been sitting in my material drawer for quite a while and I finally knuckled down and put it on a blade that was worthy of it.
Overall length: 9" RC 60-61; blade length 4 9/16" of 5/32" flat ground 440C Stainless with a finely tapered tang. Blade has a 600 grit machine satin finish. Bolsters are nickel silver with matching pin and thong tubing.
Handle material: Beautiful Pre-Ban “Bark” Elephant Ivory. There were a couple small surface cracks on one side (part of the character and mystique of bark ivory in my opinion) so that's where I decided to put the thong hole. They of course show up better now that it’s polished out but, again, they are only surface cracks and have nothing to do with the integrity of the scale. You can see clearly on the “butt” and spine pictures what I mean.
This one is $500 including a matching leather sheath, your choice of either right or left hand carry. The sheath in the picture is for example only as I still need to make a custom one for this knife. Note: the “bead” on the included thong is a small chunk of elephant tusk tip that is equally beautiful.
$15 even for shipping and insurance in the Cont. U.S. Not available for international shipping due to ivory restrictions.
I accept Paypal and personal checks with time to clear (contact me first on the latter).
I welcome any & all comments.
Thanks Wayne
