Temperance 2 sheath for mule team

So this looks like a MT with Halpern scales in the Temperence 2 sheath, correct? How tight is the leather around the scales? I have some thicker scales on one of my mules that I need a leather sheath for.

I took a couple pictures of the sheath with the mule team in it. I don't have a good camera right now, but they get the point across. http://i.imgur.com/RBqzlvN.jpg http://imgur.com/bqaJwoL

So is that the Esee Model 3 Custom Outback Leather Knife Sheath offered by Mr. Cline?

They are halpern scales, it fits the temp 2 sheath great, not too snug at all.

I know this is a sheath thread, but I'm a little new to the mule knives, where can I get one.

You can buy them off of spyderco's website, or pick them up used. The mule teams are not available through dealers. There is usually a run or two of the mule per year, and the same steel never repeated. The only two steels available right now are 4v (The one I bought) and CTS B70P

Another update. The sheath has been holding up well with one exception. After carrying the knife for a day, I noticed that the tip of the blade was cutting into the sheath welt. I did a simple wet mold so that the tip of the blade would not contact the welt, and after carrying with that setup for four days am happy with the sheath's performance.

Sal, the sheath idea sounds very interesting.

Also, I'd like to offer a suggestion to offer a complete package for something like the maxamet version. The mule team is an outstanding little knife and I think more people would buy it if they could get it as a completed knife. Maybe offer each iteration as a raw blade and as a package deal. It'd give you guys a chance to test new colors and handle materials and finishes before putting them onto bigger runs where the colors, materials, or finishes might not be successful.

I like putting the handles on but not everyone can do it and as nice as what the halpern scales are, they don't really fit that well.

Thanks,

Russ
