Temperature in a gas forge....

Anyone know how to tell or figure the temperature in a gas forge? Do they make thermometers that go up that high?

Yes, what you want is called a pyrometer. There are various types such as optical, surface, and immersion pyrometers. They also come in analog and digital. Take a look at The Pyrometer Instrument Company, Inc.
