Hey guys. I wonder if you could help me out and tell me what temperature you use in your ovens to temper BG-42 stainless? Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Harden BG-42 at 1975 degrees for 1 hour then air cool in moving air (fan). Stress relieve at 475 degrees for 1 hour then air cool. Freeze to -107 degrees with CO2 or -305 degrees with liquid nitrogen. Then warm to room temperature before tempering. Temper at 925 degrees for 1-1/2 hours. I get RC 62-63 with this.
I would suggest sanding to 600 grit before heat treat.
Anything else I can help with just give me a shout.
Hope this helps.
