Love the sheath but I must admit to not be a fan of clips for bigger knife sheaths. Carries too high. I have come to very much appreciate a simple tab with a hole or D ring that allows for a soft leather thong or sash or other lanyard that I can easily wrap around my belt - to whatever length I prefer for the activity of the day. Stays very secure and is removable without taking off my belt - + - you can attach to a pack or other just as easily if you have a mind to. Surprisingly I have come to prefer this "lanyard" technique even over a good dangler.

I see you use clips often T Templehound . What is your thinking? Is this a preferred option of your clients or just your own best carry option?

Ray, how to carry a knife is imho a very personal aspect
for me its the exact opposite, I need my bigger knives placed relatively high....
reason is the balance point somewhere in the ricasso area, short before the handle where the weight of the knife is well distributed.
Bigger fixed blades as I carry as a right handed person in front of the left hip, if the knife is frequently used. When it is not used i get it out of the way behind my right hip.
And I also appreciate not having the need to open the belt when switching the position of he knife.

All my personal knives have a clip on the sheath so it is my personal preferred carrying option. But I have four customers who are very active in social medias and they
prefer the same, and they spread the word and the pictures and the reviews and now 50% of the custom orders go out with a clip on the sheath.

Another popular carrying stye is also like yours(if I understood that right), having a well placed tasteful hole on the sheath so it can be tied to the belt, pockets or clothing so the sheath cannot slide off and away.
Many users i know do not carry a knife behind the belt so without a belt loop the whole package is more slim and wont make the pockets so thick.
But if it is needed carried behind the belt is has the option......man, explaining in English is always tricky...I hope you got what I ment.
here is one example of such a sheath with the welt(or weld?) beeing a combination of horn and leather providing "the hole".
Ray, Thanks for Your good words and the fine response, much appreciated!:)

Yes, absolutely a matter of personal preference. Thank you for explaining your thoughts on the matter. I never wear my knife behind my belt- tucked in like that is uncomfortable. Tied to the belt or hanging off a dangler work best for me. ;)
