Ten Most EDC'd Production Knives

My current in no particular order
1. case serpentine stockman
2. case sodbuster {the large one}
3 leatherman side clip
4 uncle henry, teeny tiny stockman {american}
5 case trapper, cv. full size

I've got a nib endura 4 which i really like but it just can't muscle the slippys out for a carry slot. later, ahgar

I have to qualify my list because I only have five knives that that I carry religiously.

- Case barlow, is carried regardless of the edc for the week
- ZT0200
- Strider AR
- BM 610 Rukus
- Protech TR-3 LE stainless

That is pretty much from greatest carry time to least carry time. New knives seem to get at least a week to 10 day carry time before going into the edc rotation.

1. spyderco chinook II - my all time favorite folder EVER. it gets used for every-freakin'-thing.
2. utility HAK - this design is, IMO, a stroke of genius.
3. spyderco karambit - it grew on me.
4. spyderco rescue 93mm - for when i need to rip through the day.
5. crkt ryan plan b - this is a great little fixed blade; it fits my hand like a custom, and it was less than $20.
6. mantis karambit - because i like karambits.
7. imperial stockman pocketknife - i found this on a riverbank. it cleaned up real nice, took an edge sharp enough to cut death, and is soooooo innocent looking.

pics to come....

A better format for this thread might be a poll with a set of knives listed. The top ten will be the ten most voted-upon.

With a place for write-ins of course.

The knives I edc regularly in order of frequency are:

Victorinox Spirit multitool
Bark River Mini Canadian
Boker copperhead slipjoint
Spyderco Native
Victorinox Swisstool
Victorinox Outrider

Interesting mix up.

Oh don't worry. I've done way worse than that.

Not that it matters anymore, but I was cogitating on this pic when I posted the pic of the Strider (and called it a Sebbie):

Buck 110 or 112
Gerber Multi-tool
Leatherman Multi-tool
Victorinox

Those will probably account for most of the EDC production knives carried by the general population.

Personally, I carry my Gerber 400 multi-tool and a SOG Flash II or Twitch XL 90% of the time.

Here is my opinion/list for today current production models:

1) Benchmade Griptilian
2) Benchmade model 42 balisong (almost everyone in the balisong community has one)
3) Spydeco Endura
3) Spyderco Delica
4) Buck model 110
5) Cold Steel Voyager
6) SOG Flash II
7) Kershaw Leek
8) Victorinox classic...I say classic to be specific, but Im really just saying any SAK...
9) Boker Subcom
10) and for most non knife people but still buy a knife, mostly hunters...Anything Gerber that can be purchased at hunting stores...Or hunting sections in stores like Walmart...

Aslo I keep these people in mind for my list...For example, the Buck 110, not the most popular knife amongst todays knife community, of course there are plenty of people who like it, but I added that because its just been around so long, and non knife people know companies like Buck, and schrade, and case...but they might not even know of Benchamde or Spyderco...So this list is my idea of whats popular all around from what I have read and heard...If we are just talking about us knife guys the list may change a bit...And I might add some more expensive knives like Strider and Sebenza...

ok, now here is my personal list for 10 most EDC's...

1) Chris Reeve Small classic Sebenza w/ Micarta inserts (new EDC)
2) Benchmade Griptilian (I kept trading these for other knives, but I somehow always end up with one)
3) Spyderco Delica (I currently have a Delica 4 waved, which is just cool, lol)
4) Case Mini copperlock with jigged barnboard scales (my classy little knife for when I go out to eat)
5) CRKT M-18 (The blade steel could be better, but I always like the blade design, and feel of the knife)
6) Kershaw Scallion (years ago when it 1st came out it was my favorite little knife)
7) Cold Steel Ti-Lite (Love this knife!)
8) Case Mako (similar to a Buck 110)
9) Victorinox Executive (Of course I have carried all kind of SAK's, and loved them all)
10) Delta Z Osprey (this one is a classic, and I love mine, too bad they stopped making these years ago)

1 Spyderco Military (CF/BG42)
2 Sebenza large classic S30V
3 Manix S30V
4 Benchmade Rukus
5 Benchmade 710 (D2)
