NICE!!!!!!!!!

I really like that Fiji BG!

Thanks for the pics!

Thanks for sharing, Guyon. Nice collection! Needs a few more Custom Shoppe models though. :D

Ahh my favorite configuration of the 110, BG42, stag and finger grooves!!! Great taste!

Nice get together of the 110’s. The second one down on the right is that BG42 and the Fiji orangewood on the Buck site? I would like to order one but the order site photo just did not look good. Yours looks great! Thanks!

It was ordered through the Custom Shop, yes. Here's a better pic of it I had filed back. Notice the rocker pin (correct term?) is hidden on this knife.

Wow even better. I will move this up on my list of BUCK needs. After reading the comments about the BG-42 I wanted to try it but could never make something look good in the choices. Thanks.

Awesome...any one of them by itself.
The set is off da hook!

I too espcially like the lower two on the right side :)

The two on the lower right are great.

Guyon - in your opinion, which steel would serve better as a working piece (sharpening, edge endurance)? I'm planning to order three, maybe from Cabela's, maybe from the custom shop.

thx - cpr

I noticed there seems to be a difference in the finger grooves? The wb 42 looks like the grooves are more pronounced.....

yes way- buck has used differing styles of fingergroveing...
i think there is a lot of hand work in the finger groveing even tho there is a pattern..
perhaps a real buck a roo will stop in and inform us if this is a hand work step... heng em were are you ???

To tell the truth, I don't remember - I'll have to check on that, but I would think that the handle was made with the grooves in it. I don't believe the grooves are grond by hand, but it is harder to shaper the knfe with the grooves.

We have worked for years to streamline the build process, but the 110 is still built with a LOT of hand work......the small radius of the finger grooves makes it harder to sand and buff the handle since those tight corners are hard to get into. - Jim

PS - I LOVE that BG-42 110 with the Asian Water bufflao and the nickel silver bolsters!

Until Guyon chimes in with his opinion, I just thought I would direct you to this link on knife steels. IMO, BG-42 is pretty hard to beat.
