Tenacious love?

No love here, every Tenacious I have had got blade play often and the steel was the worst performing 8Cr I have ever seen. The edge retention on Spyderco's 8Cr is atrocious, especially compared to Kershaw's. Whatever Spyderco is doing to it, they're doing it wrong! As far as value, it really isn't a good value. You have Chinese manufacture using low grade materials in a knife that still runs close to $50. Spend another $15 and get a Delica or Endura that's made in Japan and uses vastly superior materials all around.

can't argue to that! I must admit that investing 15$ more for a staple knife is a must. Also, I must say that my 13$ Elan is PRETTY AWESOME for that price point, I understand that they stole the axis lock, but the knife is just a nice as the value line if not better, but at 1/4 of the cost. The tenacious remains a nice knife anyhow. The FFG zips trough cardboard, the spydey hole is pleasant, far better then studs and the color options are cool. it's just a bit pricey.

I love my Tenacious(and Resilience)... as well as my Rat 1. You get alot of value for the money and I think that's a big part of why we like them so much. They are great for EDC tasks but when things get a little more serious... they are out of their league when compared to others like the Paramilitary 2. Either way, Tenacious love is strong!

Since I paid $32 shipped for a used in good condition Tenacious AND a new Sogzilla that sells on Amazon for $23...I'm pretty happy with my $9 Tenacious

Well, I found a place that carried one and I liked ok, but I think I prefer the delica I had. Thanks sinkrate.

The Tenacious is a wonderful knife and has a much higher value, to me, compared to it's cost.

The Tenacious was also my first Spyderco. I do feel like I will upgrade to something from Japan next time, but I am still enjoying this one now.
