tenacious screw replacement

where can i get replacement body screws as well as the pocket clip screws for the spyderco tenacious? posibly upgrade to torx bit screws rather than the stock hex screws? maybe in black?

The Tenacious and Persistence I owned both used the same screws as found in other San Ren Mu knives. About the cheapest solution would be to simply buy a cheap SRM on ebay to snag the screws off it or swap them with the knife you have. The SRM 710 screws that I have here look to be the same exact screws as found in the body screws and clip screws in the Tenacious or Persistence.

It's also worth mentioning that even though the screws look like hex, they may actually be Torx (source). I suggest giving them a try with your Torx screwdrivers first so you can be sure that they aren't.

In terms of buying new screws in black, here I'll defer to STR. You could give the SRM 710 a shot, or you could ask Spyderco for a full set and try painting them yourself. (In which case I suggest asking Spyderco for a full set because if you mess up you'll still have a functioning set holding your knife together. :D )
 
Does anyone know the screw sizes and a link to a knifemaking website where I can get them? I ordered some but the threads diameter was too small
 
The body, clip and pivot screws on mine are all metric hex. This might also be the case with the screws, they may be a metric pitch.

You received 2-56 size I suspect. Thats too small. The Chinese screws are actually pretty stout. I do not know the metric size. You might look on Aarons Screws by finding it on Google but in the end after trial and error I still bet it would be easier and cheaper to just buy a parts knife made in the same place.

It's been a couple of years since I took my Tenacious apart, but I do remember that the screws were metric.
 
Found my Tenacious clip screws. They are M3 x .5 screws. Body screws may be the next size smaller (for the spacers), but I'm not sure. The next smaller metric is M2.5 x .45
