Tenacious

Sigh....No problems locking Benchmades or ZTs open!

What's the point of that comment?

There aren't any problems locking the Tenacious or any other Spyderco open.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were trolling. :barf:

Its very simple. The knife did not hold up to MY test and I would urge you to try for yourself and you will see. I dont need to troll as I know now after I spent my money on a nice looking knife. I know that if you would put i

Kinda trailed off there.

I suggest you send it in. Let us know if the replace it under warranty.

On a side note, your "test" isn't really a test. There is a proper way to baton with a folder, and you didn't seem to know that. You're over stressing the knife. I'd love to go all specific and ask how you batoned it, if you hit the same part of the spine, what you were hitting it with, what you were batoning through, approx lbs of force, etc, but it doesn't really matter because you broke the knife because you abused it. End of story.

I dont need to troll as I know now after I spent my money on a nice looking knife and it failed badly. I know that if you would put it through some simple tests you will see for yourself that it is not what you think it is. This is my opinion of course, BUT, it is an informed opinion. The Spyderco failed and a $10 Bantam (used as a control) did not. I mentioned that I batoned with a 585 and I posted pics, it did not fail, and it was locked open. I was not looking to insult, but I urge you to inform yourself.

Not sure what happened there.

LOL! OK. I guess you are the real expert. Let me know the next time you test a folder for real, I could use a laugh. Dont feel bad because you think its tougher than it it. Lots of people do! Take a look at the stop pin, its way too small.

Did I mention that the $10 bantam did better on the same test? Cmon man, test it!

That's like saying because my crowbar can take chunks out of a concrete wall it's "tougher" and "better" then my Battle Mistress.

Yes you've mentioned that several times. You don't test a folder through abuse.

You win my armchair expert award dude! Good luck with your nice looking knife.

I generally use a hatchet or Ax to chop wood.:)If you are so inclined to use a knife for chopping wood, get yourself a Strider Fixed blade.;)

I would as well, but what would happen if you had no other choice? Well, if you used this particular Spyderco you would be eating you food cold.

I disagree. I'd open the knife, unlock it, and then baton with it.
