Terminator Salvation Knife

I should have spelled it out too! 440 stainless steel = mystery steel.

440 then letter...good.
440 then no letter...bad.

I do hope its good steel and works for you edge wise. But I would just throw the thing into trees. :D The steel is most likely perfect for that, sadly.

Oh ok. sorry I wasn't trying to be smart, I just thought you didn't know what I meant by SS. Yes I see your point, I don't think this was ever intended to leave the display box it came in. I only paid $12 for it so it can sit in the box for all I care.

Master Cutlery sucks. I saw one at a Big 5 near here that had the price sticker partially covering the logo, so it looked like the Benchmade butterfly. When I asked to see it, I was surprised that Benchmade would make such a flimsy, horrible product until a took a closer look. A non-knife enthusiast friend (I have since shown him the light) also had a Master folder. Both the ones that I saw felt like the liner lock would give way under minimal pressure.

this is a niche market item that would be valuable to someone interested in movie props/collectibles or live action roll-playing props. but not as a "knife" per-se.

It's not a movie prop. Its a replica of a movie prop. No value.

Collectibles are made in small quantities. That's what makes them collectible. This is not made in small quanitites. They made enough of them that they can be sold for 12 bucks. No value.

Role-playing prop? I suppose. But it's not going to fetch any money.

I'm sure you weren't trying to be smart at all!

Do not let it sit in the box. If you do that, it IS a complete waste of 12 dollars that could have been spent on beer or something.

Throw it into a tree. Practice sharpening on it. Convex it. Take the coating off. Try and break it. Dig up dandelions from the lawn. Do anything! Then it's not a complete loss, you know?
